“IT’S BETTER TO HAVE LOVED THAN TO HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING AT ALL..”

“IT’S BETTER TO HAVE LOVED THAN TO HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING AT ALL..”

Yea, nothing to lose when it comes to trying how the abstract word will deeply sink into your personality.

It won’t get you insane. That’s for sure! It’s all about management, perspective and all.

From where are these things coming from?

Well, I loved and lost. Yes, I did. And, I’m proud to say that.

I did the greatest things when I was in love for the first time and I won’t let go of the beautiful memories. I tried my luck in song writing for her, looked for the bluest rose and wrote and put letters in a bottle, among others.

Let me share this poem (This is not the song– can’t publish it..hmm..sorta special) for her that I wrote as part of moving on from Edsa:

WHEN I STARTED CALLING YOU PRETTY

When I started calling you pretty

I hoped roses were bluest in February

For this month made my heart burning and freezing at the same time

When my feet had a rhythm

When they sang a song as they stamped the aisle

A song that I carried in a frame.

When I started calling you pretty

I wished all bottles had secret messages inside

Rolls of paper carefully trimmed and furled

Screaming out loud to the rest of the world.

When I started calling you pretty

I began feeling handsome too; I became charming as a prince

I’m happy I did.

Plus, I was vain with this picture:

It’s nice to be in love. Great experience, great results. (Because of mine, I had the most positive motivation to see the Prince Charming in me.)

When you meet an “irregular” person who never takes jokes very seriously and who has her own tides to ride, what do you do?

Grab the camera and shoot! She never really liked turtles. Just on that very special date!

Friends will be gems, things of beauty, joy forever.

KAYAKING? IT’S MORE THAN FUN!

What about a souvenir shot with the Bulusan Lake on the background?Image

This was taken during our summer escapade to Sorsogon last year.

It was more than fun going there on board a PUJ (that’s public utility jeepney– we had no choice), kayaking even if we knew how deep the lake was, staying overnight on the shores of a white sand beach and chilling out with my then workmates. The beautiful memories remain in my heart and head. Thanks to my SL family!

And what about planking? It was a trend then. Until now?

I so much enjoyed the company of dear Bicolanos.

I and my cohorts on the go!

What were we looking at? Brighter tomorrows? hehe

Trees, trees, trees.. the childhood poem made me miss them.

EMBRACE LIFE LIKE THERE’S NO TOMORROW

I have always been amazed by how life gets you into the best situations– when all you can hear is laughter, when all you can see is a cumulus smiling at you, when all you can feel is the HONORABLE presence of family, friends and good acquaintance.

During my senior year in college, I got the rare chance to go with the UNA VITA team(that’s how we call our batch– it means “one life”) to “somewhere over the rainbow”. And, to tell you honestly, we almost found our own “pots of gold”.

How? Yea, like how exactly?

We tried to fall in love with the place. And, the atmosphere gave us a clap.

The waves began to roar and touch our toes while we were on the shore. Then, all of a sudden, like a call of nature we were so excited to do jump shots.

It felt very relieving stepping hard on the soft, innocent sand. Bingo! I always loved the shot above.

Appreciation, appreciation and nothing but appreciation is indeed needed once and for all especially if you are about to graduate from something “big” or if you are about to undercome, if not overcome certain bad situations.
